Le duo avec Olga Nosova (batteure et vocaliste connue principalement pour sa collaboration avec le groupe moscovite “Syncopated Silence” et le groupe de néo-punk “Motherfathers”) est l’un des derniers projets d’Alexei Borisov, ‘vétéran’ de la scène russe d’improvisation libre industrielle et électronique ;
Leur projet de collaboration est né en avril 2009.
Le duo tuile les genres du psychédélisme de “spoken word” aux formes libres et mystérieuses, des live électroniques, du minimalisme, du free jazz, du noise, de l’electroacoustique, et d’une délicieuse multitude de tortures acoustiques…
Leur musique est principalement improvisée, elle s’est ouverte naturellement à de nombreux musiciens, vidéo-artistes, danseurs, performeurs et poètes de différent pays, dans des situations de live mais aussi en studio: Anton Nikkila (Finlande), Dave Philipps (Suisse) Matthieu Werchowski (France), Dora Bleu (Canada), Thomas Buckner (USA), Tom Smith (USA) Jandek (USA), Anton Mobin (France), a_spirale (Italy), LLya Belorukov (Russie), Sergei LEtov (Russie), Korhan Erel (Turquie), Oleg Kornev (Russie/France) VTOL ( Russie), Mitya Fedotenko (France), Alessandro Bosetti (Italy) et la liste continue…
Le duo Borisov / Nosova est très régulièrement en tournée et participe à de nombreux festivals internationaux et à des expositions et showcases. En 2009/2011 ils ont joué en Russie, Turquie, Lettonie, Estonie, Finlande, Pologne, Allemagne, Autriche, Slovenie, Croatie, en Hollande, France, Israel, Lithuanie, Ukriane, Bielorussie, aux Etats-Unis, en Italie et en République Tchèque…

ASTMA (ALEXEI BORISOV/OLGA NOSOVA) (Russia)

The duo with Olga Nosova (drummer and vocalist mostly known for her
work with Moscow fusion band “Syncopated Silence” and post-punk band “Motherfathers”) is one of the latest projects of veteran of Russian industrial/electronic/free improv scene Alexei Borisov and noticeably very fast-developing – their mind-boggling and powerful music is already highly acclaimed among the music lovers not only in Russia, but around the world!
The collaborative project was formed in April 2009. Paying homage to
both experimental tradition of Alexei’s countless musical reincarnations
and Olga’s instrumental experience, the duo embrace elements of
weird free-form spoken word psychedelia, live electronics, minimalism, free jazz, noise, heavy acid, electroacoustic, dub and far too many different types of acoustic torture to even bother mentioning all of them! The music is highly improvised, so naturally Borisov / Nosova is collaborating with various musicians, video-artists, dancers, performers and poets from different countries, both in live situations and in studio environment: Anton Nikkila (Finland), Dave Phillips (Switzerland), Matthieu Werchowski (France), Dora Bleu (Canada), Thomas Buckner (USA), Tom Smith (USA), Jandek (USA), Anton Mobin (France), a_spirale (Italy), Ilya Belorukov (Russia), Sergei Letov (Russia), Korhan Erel (Turkey),Oleg Kornev (Russia/France), VTOL (Russia), Mitya Fedotenko (France), Alessandro Bosetti (Italy) to name just a few.

Borisov/Nosova duo was formed in Moscow (RF), april 2009. Music components: free improvised, live electronics, electroacoustic, spoken word, tape music, ambient, soundtracks, field recordings, techno, sound art etc. The duo collaborates with different musicians, sound artists, video-artists, dancers and poets from different countries, produces music for silent movies (“The 11th” and “Enthusiasm” by Dziga Vertov), art exhibitions, theatrical and multi-media events and actions, DJing.

At the beginning of 2011 two digital albums of Moscow based project ASTMA have been released in USA and Russia.
“there is a McDonald’s” is a selection of tracks, recorded in Moscow, on summer 2009. This is an improvised material, mixed and mastered by Alexei Borisov and Olga Nosova at their home “Bornos” studios on Prospekt Vernadskogo and in Strogino.

The second release “Istanbul 2010. World Cup”  is mostly a product of collective improvisational process, organized by musicians from different countries (Russia, Turkey, France, UK), taken place on the 28th of November at Kooperatif art space in Istanbul. As usual, this selection is supplemented by original photos and video, done by Olga Nosova and Alexei Borisov during their trip to Turkey (www.top-40.org)
